What our families say after the stay

Ten reviews from local families, quoted just as they wrote them on Google.

1 / 10

“I felt very comfortable leaving our 6 month old pup at Guten Morgen for a long weekend. They were very thorough leading up to her stay. They sent daily videos of playtime, which our pup enjoyed. The price was reasonable. We plan to use the service again.”

“Couldn't ask for better people and service! They took very good care of my dogs while we were away in Italy. Teena the owner is very friendly and attentive to the needs of all animals in her care! 10 stars is the most I can rate here so 10 stars!!!”

Jerry B.Google review

“This was our first time using a kennel service for our sweet girl, Lola. I was very nervous about her upcoming stay. Teena was absolutely wonderful to work with. She explained what Lola's stay with them would look like in great detail and made me feel comfortable with our decision. Teena even sent me pictures of Lola during playtime. She looked very happy!”

Shantel G.Google review

“Staff are amazing, by far the best boarding for my dog I have ever had. They are always so friendly, kind, and caring towards me and my dog, Vinny. I love this place!”

Ava D.Google review

“Our 2 Goldens came back clean, healthy and happy. The older one tends to get stressed in kennel situations. This time he came was clearly cared for and had no problems at all. I'm so glad we found this place.”

James H.Google review

“Tina loves dogs and she puts my heart at ease when we are away. She sends pics and videos of my girl running and playing. Love this place!”

Dennis C.Google review

“This was my first time using a kennel to board my 1 year old terrier mix. The owners are very thorough and have a facility that gets my dog out and I chose to have him participate in playtime with the other dogs that are on site for day care. He thoroughly enjoyed the playtime and the owner responded to me when I was just a worried dog mom checking in. Highly recommend!”

Kristine L.Google review

“I left my dog and cat there when I went on vacation. They were both taken great care of. I wouldn't worry about leaving them there ever. The staff was friendly and they really care about the animals.”

Nancy O.Google review

“Loved everything about this kennel. Teena is the best for the doggos. My dog wags and carries on when we arrive. A lot of puppy love there.”

Theresa R.Google review

“My dog loves to go to the kennel. They take good care of their guests.”

years of Teena and Terry looking after local dogs

Our story

Raised on a farm, still caring for animals every day

Teena and Terry grew up on a farm and have worked with animals their whole lives. Guten Morgen Kennels is what that kind of upbringing looks like when you turn it into a business: someone who knows dogs is here, every day, looking after yours.

Families from Canonsburg and around Washington County have trusted us with their dogs for over three and a half decades. Some guests come for an afternoon of play, some stay for a week while their family travels, and plenty of them have never stayed anywhere but here.

If your dog has never been kenneled before, tell us. We take the time to help nervous or first-time guests settle in and get comfortable, so the first stay is not the hard part.
